McKenzie Method

McKenzie Method

Unlike conventional physical therapy, the McKenzie Method focuses on movement. The average person only needs 3 to 5 sessions. It is a clinically validated way of assessing musculoskeletal disorders through the patient’s reaction to movement and discomfort. Using extremely basic exercises and postures, patients are encouraged to treat themselves (a self-healing method). Roughly, 80% of painful diseases can be diagnosed and treated in three to five sessions.

Pain in low back, hip, neck, shoulder, elbow, and knee, can be treated with this method. Medical conditions like sciatica, headaches, spinal disc issues, wrist and hand issues, ankle and foot issues, are also treated with McKenzie Method. By applying the same concepts in the future, patients can lessen the chances of their pain returning, and the strategy has shown beneficial in treating both acute and chronic diseases.

Expert physiotherapist Robin McKenzie developed this exercise-based method of assessment, diagnosis, and therapy. It allows for a thorough and clinically reasoned evaluation of patients without the need for costly diagnostic imaging. A lengthy period of therapy is not necessary. You will not need any invasive procedures or needles.

The therapists at Health Mantra educate patients so that they can avoid future injuries. It is a key feature. When people have a firm grasp on their medical condition and what is going on, they are in better shape to devise effective solutions. This strategy is growing in favor.
